Everton Football Club’s highly anticipated new 52,888-capacity stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock was successfully completed in 2024, marking a major milestone for both the club and the city of Liverpool.
Metinvest's Spartan UK Supplies 1,000 Tonnes of Hot-Rolled Plates for Everton FC’s Landmark Stadium
Spartan UK, which is part of Metinvest Group, proudly contributed to this prestigious project by supplying 1,000 tonnes of hot-rolled plates (HRP), ensuring robust structural integrity throughout the construction process. These plates proved essential, given the ambitious ‘no-blockwork’ approach adopted by the project team, which eliminated the use of traditional masonry. Instead, every steel element was meticulously planned and precisely assembled, demanding high-quality materials and impeccable execution.
Severfield, the UK’s leading structural steel specialist, undertook the steelwork — designing, fabricating, and erecting approximately 12,200 tonnes of structural steel. Among the standout achievements was the early 2023 installation of the final 100-tonne steel truss, completed ahead of schedule, underscoring the exceptional efficiency and teamwork involved.
Spartan’s high-performance steel plates were integral to achieving the ambitious design and rigorous construction standards of Everton’s state-of-the-art riverside stadium. This iconic structure is now poised to become one of the UK’s landmark football venues.
It's not for nothing they say that almost every building in Britain is made of Metinvest steel — or more precisely, Spartan plates.
